Here is a lvl 61 Warrior in Requiem.Specc´d for PVE, wearing full gordium, 5/8 M-S SL juwelry and a lvl 60 Eximius 2h Axe.
Buffs are Wrath Awakening 5, Reckless Attack 5, Iron Physique 5 with DNA, SoB 4 and Fighting Will 5 with DNA.
Target skills are Slayer 6 with DNA and Skull Crasher 5. No other skills are needed when u go full on crit and strength.
Attack skills are Lateral Slash 1, Full Swing Slash 1, FoB 3 (which will be maxed later) and Burning Dash 1.
There also got Terror 3 and Terrified Scream 4 (only way to solo grind later on), 2HWM 5 with DNA and Final Wrath 5 With DNA. Taunt 2 and Charge 1
are filler points for skill mastery needed for higher skills.
Now to the skills:
Burning Dash, the only additional talent for Berserker job, is still bugged atm, means it cant hit critical. Therefore rank 1 is enough, its just
another AOE that u can throw in while in party or grinding.
I highly recommend to take all aoe skills in, even if the first 2 arent that usefull later on, but u will mainly spam these skills when in any dungeon
or in a party that does some decent aoe grinding.
Skull Crasher is the main attack skill, u will always have it on cooldown since the stun is why we survive mobs long enough to kill em. So every tit bit
of +damage for that skill is welcome.
Slayer Rank 6 is more a fun skill for highest crits and good damage, but not that important as Skull Crasher.
Why only 2 single target skills?
1.) STR is our main stat, it adds attack power and also critical additional damage. With high STR, your normal auto attack crits deal more damage then
SKill crits, which are based on MIND for crit chance, and INT for skill critical additional damage (maybe PVP warriors go for those 2 stats, but for
PVE, u want as much damage as possible...).
2.) Any item that increases critical strike chance ONLY works for normal auto attack critical chance. Axes, Crit-Xeons, Juwelry... whatever, every bit
of +crit only affects your normal swing crit chance.
3.) Skills interfere with your normal weapon swings. Some animations of skills take longer to perform, which sometimes slows down the fluidness of your
normal fast AAs.
So lets summ things up:
The higher your STR gets, the more useless SKills are, except Skull Crasher for the stun and your AoE attacks. Even with a set of full M-M or M-I from
secret lab, you will never reach the % chance of normal AA with Wrath Awakening. Thats why you rely on normal attacks later on, the damage is a lot better
then spamming skills and getting oom in every fight.
For PVP, where skills are the most important thing since they ignore Def rate and Mirror Shields of Templar/Shamans, get yourself a good bludgeon, put as
much INT and MND (preferable MND tho, for higher skill crit chances) in your gear as possible, and spam skills :P
But for PVE, for the above posted reasons, u wont need any single target skills to get the most damage out of your toon.
